Sustainability
Sustainability isn’t just a value at Ashborn Industries. It’s a responsibility we uphold across everything we manufacture.
By choosing timber and prioritising Australian-made materials, we help customers reduce environmental impact while supporting a renewable resource.
Powered by the Sun
At Ashborn Industries, environmental responsibility isn’t an afterthought — it’s the foundation beneath everything we build. From our Timber Manufacturing facility in the heart of the Riverland to our nationwide operations, we’re continually investing in smarter, greener ways of working.
We operate with a significant commitment to renewable energy, with solar systems installed across our sites to help reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. This shift to clean energy lowers our carbon footprint and ensures we manufacture our products with the future in mind.
A Circular Lifecycle: Reuse, Repair, Recycle
Longevity and circularity are core to why timber pallets outperform plastic ones environmentally.
Pallet repair programs extend their usable life.
End-of-life pallets are repurposed into chipboard, garden mulch, and other useful materials.
Nothing goes to waste. When wooden pallets finally break down, they return naturally to the earth — completing a renewable cycle.
Responsibly Sourced, Australian-Made Timber
We take pride in using Australian-made, responsibly sourced timber throughout our manufacturing.
All the timber used in our export products meets the strict requirements of the Australian Wood Packaging Certification Scheme (AWPCS) and the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM 15).
This means our customers can send products overseas with confidence, knowing their pallets and timber packaging meet international regulatory standards, while supporting sustainable local forestry.
